- Tracee Ellis Ross just dropped a new no-makeup selfie on Instagram and our queen is looking absolutely ravishing.
- In the post, the 48-year-old actress can be seen caressing her vase of flowers…with her face.
- Tracee’s skin is likely just as soft as those petals: She swears by hydration, exfoliating regularly, and double-masking on the regular.
Tracee Ellis Ross is a national treasure and should be treated as such. The 48-year-old Black-ish star posted an angelic Instagram reel of rubbing her face against fresh flowers—and she looked damn near flawless.
In the quick clip, Tracee slowly admires her bouquet of yellow, white, and orange flowers. It is set to the song “A Flower Is A Lovesome Thing,” as performed by Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. Divine feminine vibes on lock.
But despite the ethereal vibe of the video, it’s hard to ignore Tracee’s flawless no-makeup look. Luckily for us, Tracee is a generous queen and shared all her skincare tips with Women’s Health.
Her first tip is to sleep—so sign me up. I’m a REM-cycle queen myself and need no urging to catch a full night of Zs.
“The key to great skin starts with sleep. I’ve been getting sleep during this pandemic,” Tracee said. “I do my best to get eight hours. That’s my number–everyone has a different number. I drink tons of water, more than you think you would need. I think hydration on the inside and outside are the key to making sure you have glowing skin.”

Tracee is also exfoliates and uses masks on the regular. She uses a Clarisonic with a soft brush to make sure she cleans the skin thoroughly. And her mask routine sounds downright heavenly.
“I love to clean my skin thoroughly, put on a mask, then get in a hot bath because your pores open and can really receive the mask,” Tracee details. “Then, when I get out of the bath and the mask has gotten all slippy and moist again, I’ll either add another layer of the same mask, or a different kind of mask on top of it, and then rub it in. I’ll leave that on for another 10-15 minutes. I love to double mask, or do multiple masks in a day, especially before an event.”
A woman after my own heart! I know what I’m doing tonight.
