In the snap, Joan posed on January 8 where she rocked an aztec swimsuit before her journey.

Then the second photo, the influencer stood confidently in a black bikini as she appeared slimmer.

Her caption read: “Almost 7 months into my health journey, back in 2017.

“At 70, I had lost faith in myself. So what happened to get me to where I am today?

“I stopped getting in my own way. I worked to assuage my fears by focusing on the small daily habits I had learned were going to be important to continue if I was going to keep the weight off.

“I stayed in the transformation group I was in (and I continue to work in a group to keep myself surrounded by like minded women with a coach at the helm).”

Now she’s built an army of followers

Joan revealed how she kept feeding her mind with positive strategies and self-awareness.

Now in a bid to inspire her fans, the fitness guru revealed how she continued to take progress shots.

She added: “I also continue to take progress photos, and religiously take my measurements as they easily hold me accountable, and help me self-correct if I should wander.

“I also journal, making sure I spend time every day having a conversation with myself about what really matters. I used to just rush through the day letting life happen to me.

“Now I do the work necessary to stay in touch with my true self so I don’t waste precious time doing things that take me in the wrong direction.

“I hope you are having a strong New Years. If you’ve made some mistakes, don’t give up my friends.”

She’s an inspiration to so many people

Fans were left gushing at the post, with it securing over 44,000 likes in the space of a few days.

One person wrote: “You truly are an inspiration. I’m too old. Looking at all you have done keeps me trying and uplifted.”

Another added: “You should have a mind and body retreat for us old gals… I definitely would come.”
