Woman speeds off NW side road, fatally crashes into building near Medical Center – mySA

A woman was killed early Friday when she sped off a Northwest Side road and smashed into a building near the Medical Center, police said.

The driver, a woman in her 20s, drove off the 4100 block of Medical Drive at about 3:40 a.m. and careened into a building that houses medical records.

Police said the Chrysler vehicle the woman was driving was totally destroyed in the collision and caused severe damage to the building.

Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She has yet to be identified.
